Making dinner and userpics ... which I have more of, thanks to the gift of a paid account by a certain LJ friend who apparently wishes to remain nameless (I know who she is, though -- don't know if she wants the rest of you to).
So the point of this post, if any, is to let my samurai mooch off the photo I just took of her and Jesse cat, so she can swipe it as an icon also....
A good day, today. Went to balance my checkbook, and kept coming up with the bank saying I had more in my account than I thought I did. Not a bad deal, but it worried me. Finally figured out that I had recorded two deposits as DEBITS. Duh.
This is good, of course. My plan today was to indulge in air conditioners to replace the 20+ year old one in my office, give my asthmatic kid one for her bedroom (although it looks like I can move the one from the back room downstairs, new as of last year, up to her room), and get one for our bedroom.
If I'm going to be feeling sunburned from my radiation treatment (starting August, when it is already hot), I think I will get us an air conditioner for our bedroom. We've used a window fan, but I can still wake up drenched in sweat, and it has nothing to do with hormones! :)
Yes, I am starting to put my needs towards the front of the list. A rare thing for me.

Really glad you're getting yourself an AC unit. That's still on my to-do list.
