Another spit wad (Geek advice wanted)

I was hoping the first time my 2-1/2-year-old monitor flickered a few days ago, it was a power surge (and yes, I do have a surge protector). Same the second time, when it didn't just flicker, but got all bright and then toned down again.. But it just decided to go into lovely magenta hues for a few minutes. I think it's dying... and of course, the service plan expired last March.
Darn. I don't have time for this.
It's an Envision monitor, flat screen. Anyone have any recommendations for flat screen monitors?

Date: 2007-09-15 07:09 am (UTC)I too bought mine at Walmart, and I know I didn't pay all that much (and LCD's are cheaper now than in 2003). Here's some reviews that might help:

I've also heard very good tings about the View Sonic monitors, and here's a19 inch at amazingly low prices. Wow, have prices come down in the last few years!
