(I thought
be4u
was looking for one and gasping at the prices not long ago , but I can't find the post she mentioned it in, if she even did. So this is for whoever it was ....)
My notebook's coming up on three years, and the original battery loses its charge too quickly, which seems to be par for the course at this age. I just found one on line.
http://www.duracelldirect.com/default.aspx
The batteries are 10% off on orders placed through September 5, and at least when I pulled up the page (both the first time and just now), there was a "coupon number" that I could key in when I made the order that saved another 10%. I don't know how those coupon things work on web sites, though -- not sure if they show up randomly, or if everyone gets one. Anyway, if you need a battery, you could save some $$ by acting soon. Plus, FREE SHIPPING.
The site also has some useful info about batteries and wear and care, etc., too.
That is all.

Your memory holds good, that was me
Date: 2007-09-01 11:41 pm (UTC)Thanks for the link, they do have the battery I need for $179. Still a lot of money for 45 minutes. I've decided to just put that money towards another laptop, a smaller one with better power usage.
