Bob came Wednesday to put "Summer Melon" (Benjamin Moore) over the "Sunlit Coral" (also Benjamin Moore) in the kitchen. The Sunlit Coral had not come out the way I'd expected two years ago...possibly in part because the oak cabinets "tricked" the eye into seeing the paint as lighter and pinker than it is. I was never happy with it. Now I have the color I originally saw in my mind's eye!
And next Thursday, the floor guys will come to replace the beat-up white vinyl with "volcanic ash" Marmoleum (a very dark gray, almost black). And then my work here is done! (My redecorating work, that is. There will always be cooking and cleaning.....)
The colors are a little hard to see because it is a cloudy day here. When I used a flash, the flash "pinked" out the Summer Melon almost back to the Sunlit Coral hue. So I took it without the flash in mostly natural light. (Oh, I got new light fixtures last spring, after Easter.)
