Gone missing

One of my LJ friends hadn't posted in a while. I thought maybe she'd unfriended me (I was kind of on the old side for her list, and even told her early on that I would understand, but she was very friendly and commented often on my LJ, and sometimes sought parenting advice from me). Her LJ account has been discontinued. No notice from her, no "I'm changing to a different journal name" (she did this once), no "I'm switching to Myspace," nothing. I know some of you on my flist are/were on hers, also.

Anyone know what's happened to fasturr_pussycat?

I only ask because I'm worried about her. I just hope she's OK.

Random nonsense for el_jefe59

I thought of this today, for some random reason, and then thought of you. The University of Massachusetts library is the tallest in the country, I think (28 stories, if memory serves me, but memory does not always serve)... My husband and I both worked for the UMass library at one point.

Anyway, he came home one evening chuckling over some graffiti someone had spraypainted in the stairwell:

"Free the bound periodicals!"
