I'm strugglig at the moment with the last third of  a fundraising letter that I had been told was due at the end of the day. At 2:30, the AE called to say that they were closing at 3 p.m. for "summer hours" (they close early every Friday in the summer -- first I'd ever heard about it!), and I could turn it in on Monday if I wanted. I want to get it done, though, dammit.

Slog, slog, slog away....

(I guess getting it done is what I "really, really want" -- no, actually, I want a nap.)

Writing for a new-to-me nonprofit org. is always hard the first time. If I'd been the writer for this one for its May mailing, I could have pretended I was Meryl Streep! LOL ... that letter was supposedly written by her. She certainly had to have contributed some of the content, and maybe even some of the actual text.

I'm outta here. (Meaning, I get off this chair and go downstairs. Ha.)
