I have a suspicion I know who did this... the person I spent so many sunny hours with yesterday. If I am mistaken, I apologize to the anonymous person who *did* do this... and add, "Thanks!!"

And no, I am *not* putting my yearbook photo up here!

Whoever gifted me with a paid account is *not* the friend I spent (RL) time with yesterday!

As she said when I asked her a moment ago if she'd done it, "It must have been one of your online friends ... now this will drive you nuts!"

Thank you, whoever you are. Since I know NONE of you in RL (except my daughter), this is very sweet....

I tried to make soup and sandwiches for lunch, and realized I've been so distracted, I was out of bread! Found some ancient bread in the freezer from a year ago, all freezer-burned. Thaws it in microwave, and they turned out ok (grilled cheese).

I guess I'd better run into town and get bread and other staples... maybe get the required chest x-ray and bloodwork done, too.

Becca's right -- not knowing who gave me a paid account will drive me bonkers! But it's kind of fun not knowing, at the moment... I'll have to explore my new options at some point.

Overwork? Of course! Problem is, most of it is unpaid because I'm a G-D Volunteer!

Yesterday when the phone rang at 9 a.m., I knew it was Becca. We can go months without talking, because our lives are so full of busy-ness. She had only now read my email about having breast cancer. She was home with pneunomia. She is very rarely home. She was starting to feel better, and invited me over. I offered to bring lunch, and went to the co-up and got us some sandwiches and some tortilla chips. We sat in the sun in her garden and talked for three hours. We gave ourselves permission to take the day off. It was lovely. We talked about past lives, about our kids, about everything one could imagine. We also decided we needed to do this more often -- just stop and be together, rather than trying to fit each other in to our schedules. Make it part of the schedule, even, such as a date to walk together once a week and just yak.

I also told her about LJ and how I don't have a decent icon of myself. Also took her on to LJ and let her poke around. She then offered to take a photo of me for my icon. I agreed -- and will here put up the unmakeuped self. The real me.
