some surprises are delightful

My entree to LJ came via a friend, at a time when most of the surprises I'd been encountering were less than positive. What a great gift she gave me. It's brought me into community with so many wonderful people, and you're one of them.

Why would you apologize for expecting something good from a friend? That's actually a positive, even if you were mistaken as to which friend gave you the gift.

Then again, I'm someone who's still learning to expect good things from others. Thanks for the reminder!
