Put down the glue gun, jenny_junipurr...

I checked Jane Eyre out of the town library today after I finished my volunteer stint.

*giggling* Yay! Now I just REALLY hope you like it as much as I did! ;)

I think the reason I have never read it (or Little Women, for that matter, written by a Unitarian) is because I was told by my abusive mother that I should read it.

I am beyond "should's," or so I hope.

Blergh. Don't let her cheat you out of good books! (I loved Little Women, too, like crazy. Read it in fourth grade.)
I really, really detest abusive parents.

Ooh, ooh! Middlemarch next!

Emily Dickinson adored Middlemarch. That was one I actually had planned to read.

Middlemarch is the perfect read for the middle of winter, in front of a fire, snuggled on the sofa with a cup of tea. That's the kind of book it is.

Will save it for winter, then -- if we ever get a winter. Thanks!
